Click it or Ticket

The Texas Department of Transportation is drawing the line when it comes to the use of seatbelts and children safety seats. They are joining forces with hundreds of law enforcement departments with the program Click it or Ticket. Safety belts save lives. Click it or Ticket is an effort to enforce the state's occupant protection laws. Thanks to Click It or Ticket and sustained year-round efforts, safety belt use in Texas has increased from 76 percent in 2000 to 90.44 percent in 2006, as measured by NHTSA.
