 Stop
signs and red traffic lights indicate you must bring your
vehicle to a stop
There are
certain places where you may NOT stop
- Beside any
vehicle parked or stopped on the edge of a roadway or
beside a curb
- On sidewalks
- In intersections
- On crosswalks
- Between a safety
zone and a curb, or on the curb within 30 feet immediately
opposite the end of a safety zone
- Alongside or
opposite excavations or obstructions when it would obstruct
traffic
- On bridges
or other elevated structures or inside a highway tunnel
- On railroad
track
- By an official
sign prohibiting stopping.
