This accident could have been avoided if the dump truck driver had been paying attention and looking ahead.  In order to avoid hitting an overpass, a tractor-trailer was required to utilize a highway on-ramp. The load was oversized and the meneuver required a couple sharp turns. The tractor-trailer was clearly visible and the the dump truck driver should have been able to percive and react in time to avoid hitting the truck. No evidence of braking by the dump truck was found at the scene.
