Collision
Traps
Using Your Horn
If you are caught in a collision trap, you can sound your
horn to avoid collisions. Use it using the following guidelines:
Don't honk because you are upset,
angry or they made a mistake. Mistakes happen, you may
upset their driving or they may become aggrevated or aggresive
with you.
Flash your headlights to warn
traffic ahead of you that can see the front of your car.
Don't honk at someone for driving
too slow. They may be having problems with their car,
lost or ill.
Try to get "eye contact"
and don't honk at other times.
If a driver is attempting to turn
in front of you hit your horn, but only enough to warn
the driver.
