Encountering
a Traffic Accident
When
you drive up on or happen to be near an accident, don't
ignor it. If you aren't trained in first aid don't try
to be a doctor.
You can help by:
- Calling
emergency services for the injured.
- Keep
the injured warm and don't move them unless there
in an immediate life threatening need to. Moving injured
people can cause more injuries and complications.
Only take an injured person to a hospital yourself
unless there is no ther way to get help.
- Applying pressure to wounds
with a clean cloth to reduce bleeding. Avoid direct
contact with blood.
- If any injured are walking
around, convince them to lay or sit down.
