When
you get behind the wheel of a vehicle you bring with you
a set of attitudes, habits and emotions. As you proceed
down the road you encounter other drivers with their sets
operating, too. If you want to arrive at your destination
safely, then you are going to need to stay calm, focus on
your own driving, and deal effectively with drivers who
are NOT staying calm, focused, or effective.
Before you even get in the car you should have planned ahead
to allow sufficient time, and perhaps even some extra time
for problems like trains on crossings, traffic jams, construction
zones. Being late and getting in a hurry makes drivers tense,
makes them speed, and even become aggressive drivers.
