Passing Trucks
Trucks present special problems because they weigh so much
and require long distances to stop. Don’t follow them
too closely; follow them at a speed using the Two Second
Rule: when they pass a stationary object then you should
slow down until you pass the same object two seconds later.
Trucks have blind
spots where the driver is unable to see your vehicle, stay
out of them. They generally include 200 feet behind the
trailer, 20 feet in front of the tractor, and along the
sides of the trailer.
