A steady right light indicates you must come to a stop and
not proceed until the light changes, except when an officer
directs you otherwise
In Texas it is permitted
to make a right turn after coming to a complete stop –
if there is no sign prohibiting a right turn on red. You
must, however, yield to all vehicles and pedestrians. At
an intersection of one-way streets it is permitted to make
a turn after coming to a stop.
