Speed (continued)
Naturally, speed
effects your vehicle's abiblity to stop. Not only that,
if you double your speed it takes much more than double
the distance to stop. If you are traveling 15 mph, and bake
hard, it will take only about 10 ft. to stop. If you double
your speed to 30 mph it will take about 38 ft. to stop.
Thats almost 4 times as long a distance to stop with only
a doubling of speed. If you brake from 60 mph it will take
150 ft. to stop. So, if you drive 4 times as fast it will
take you 15 times as much distance to stop!
