People cannot hear well if music is blaring. Keep your sound turned down so you and others can listen to the road. Never wear earphones while driving.  You may even want to keep one window partly open so you can hear.

As you age, hearing problems develop slightly over time.  Have your hearing checked, and make needed adjustments so you can hear in traffic.
