Construction vehicles are regulary moved along highways for maintenance, inspection and surveying. If you see these vehicles, as well as emergency or disabled vehicles, be prepared to slow or stop for them. Many times there are people on foot nearby. In this case the construction worker was facing away from traffic on the roadway shoulder when he was collided by SUV. The vehicle either drifted or was forced off the roadway.
